What Disney Junior needs to get better at

Disney Junior is a channel that mostly broadcasts preschool cartoons made by Disney from ABC, Playhouse Disney, Cbeebies BBC, and shows produced by the channel itself. However, in the past 5 years, the channel has been lacking variety in both their scheduling and programming by removing older reruns, airing fewer original series, and playing the same shows over and over again. It also has a problem with its logo, promos, lack of movie broadcasting, and bumpers. This has been going on long enough, it’s time for a change for preschool programming by Disney.
The channel has been producing a lot of CGI cartoons since it first launched back in February 14,2011. There hasn’t been a lot of hand drawn content for the channel other than Jake and the Neverland Pirates and The Lion Guard. If Disney Channel and Disney XD can produce as many hand drawn series as they possibly can so can Disney Junior. The programming they have are all fine, the hand drawn content is what the channel needs more. 2D animation is sometimes cheaper than CGI when it comes to producing 2D puppets and flash cartoons, which is why a lot of kids tv channels produce their cartoon series in that form of animation.
The scheduling that they have on their channel is pretty awful. They play the same shows repeatedly all the time. Shows like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Doc Mcstuffins, PJ Masks, The Lion Guard, Elena of Avalor, Mickey and the Roadster Racers, Puppy Dog Tails, Vampirina, Muppet Babies (2018), Fancy Nancy (2018), and Giganotosaurus are in constant rotation. The only show that doesn’t air on the schedule multiple times is The Little Einsteins. The channel should air other preschool series like Handy Manny, Stanley (2001), Jojo’s Circus, The Wiggles, Sheriff Callie’s Wild West, and other Playhouse Disney/Disney Junior series to fill out the rest of the schedule. There should also be more older and newer Disney movies airing on the channel on Saturdays and Sundays, not just on Fridays.

While Disney Junior has a fine-looking logo, it’s not as good as the Playhouse Disney logos from 1997 to 2011. The 2011 logo has not once been seen in 2D probably because of the expenses of the cgi animation that was also seen in the promos and bumpers. If 2D animation is produced for future advertisements, there has to be more to see on TV other than the same ones that we have been getting since 2013. Speaking of bumpers, before any show comes on there are live action skits being played which showcases children doing their chores and there hasn’t been anything new about these bumpers and the viewers might be bored out by them by now and they are already wishing for something new. Remember when Disney Junior aired a couple of animated clips of Disney movies and Disney Junior shows, those bumpers are what made Disney Junior a decent channel for preschoolers and it helped give the channel higher ratings. If these types of bumpers do come back someday, there should be more Disney movies featured other than 101 Dalmatians, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid, and current Disney Junior shows. That should give people more variety in watching live ads.
In conclusion, Disney Junior needs to have more variety in their programming, scheduling, film broadcasts, promotions, and animated advertisements overall. It has probably been getting lower standards than other kids tv channels with these issues in hand like Nick Jr. If none it gets changed, ratings will lower and the channel will come into decline.
