The Many Troubles of Disney Channel

Image
I have been finding a few problems with Disney Channel . First off, the channel seems to be doing a lot better with the original series they’re making than what they were doing before, but there seems to be too many ongoing series that is currently airing on the channel. I feel like there should be another channel for the live action series since there are a lot of new episodes airing. Because of all of the ongoing series that is currently airing on the channel, the channel doesn’t seem to have enough room for older reruns, syndicated series, and/or tv blocks other than “Get Animated” on weekend mornings and Disney Junior on weekday mornings. The primary problem is the type of programming that airs on the channel’s scheduling. The second problem I have are the original series. There are certain shows that many of the viewers don’t enjoy watching such as Bizaardvark (live action), Bunk’d (live action), and Star Wars Resistance . Bunk’d is a show that has been

Disney XD's Decline Issue

Disney XD's Decline Issue          There are many channels that air mostly action shows and cartoons made by Disney. One of the channels, Disney XD is a good example of a channel of that description. Disney XD used to be called “Toon Disney” but when the action-oriented series from the nightly programming block, “Jetix” and live action series began airing on the channel, that’s when “Toon Disney” came into the rebrand that remains alive today. However, after 6 years of Disney XD’s launch date (2015), the channel began to improve by focusing more on the animated series, airing anime syndicated content, declining on live action series, rerunning older series, including their bumpers and promos. Although, after 3 years of the new DXD rebrand (2018), multiple animated original series including acquired series had been moving over to Disney Channel which is causing the channel to lose original content. There are other

What Disney Junior needs to get better at

Image
Disney Junior is a channel that mostly broadcasts preschool cartoons made by Disney from ABC, Playhouse Disney, Cbeebies BBC, and shows produced by the channel itself. However, in the past 5 years, the channel has been lacking variety in both their scheduling and programming by removing older reruns, airing fewer original series, and playing the same shows over and over again. It also has a problem with its logo, promos, lack of movie broadcasting, and bumpers. This has been going on long enough, it’s time for a change for preschool programming by Disney. T he channel has been producing a lot of CGI cartoons since it first launched back in February 14,2011. There hasn’t been a lot of hand drawn content for the channel other than Jake and the Neverland Pirates and The Lion Guard . If Disney Channel and Disney XD can produce as many hand drawn series as they possibly can so can Disney Junior. The programming they have are all fine, the hand drawn content is what

What Cartoon Network needs to improve upon

Image
Cartoon Network is a channel that airs mostly animated series distributed by Warner Bros. TV.  However, over the past 6 years, I have been experiencing a lot of issues with the programming, scheduling, bumpers, logo, and rebrand . When I compare those five things I know that they are not as good as the channel used to be before the 2010’s. I have seen the same five things for a long time by now and I believe it is time for a new change of focus.        For the programming, some of the shows (such as The Amazing World of Gumball , Steven Universe , and Craig of the Creek ) are good while a few others (like Teen Titans Go! , Mega Man: Fully Charged , Ben 10 (2016) , The Powerpuff Girls (2016) , Mighty Magiswords , and the new Thundercats cartoon, Thundercats Roar! ) are kinda bad. It seems like Teen Titans Go! is currently one of the worst Cartoon Network shows right now according to the fans of the 2003 Teen Titans series . Steven Universe and O.K. K.O. are barely

What Boomerang from cartoon Network needs to improve

Image
Boomerang airs many older cartoons ranging from the 1930’s to 2000’s, but the channel seems to have lost touch with that trend for the past 5 years. Retro content is what makes the channel great. Boomerang now airs ongoing series that are already on Cartoon Network, including original series of their own, when there should be a revived Kids WB block on the C.W. that would air that type of content. The original series that the channel has aren’t getting good ratings . It would be better if all of the original ongoing series that aren’t from the 1990’s or the 2000’s were moved to Cartoon Network, like what Disney XD did with their original animated series by moving them to Disney Channel. Eventually, you would all get to see the channel’s original series more often and the shows could get better ratings. It would give the channel more scheduling to air classic Hanna Barbera cartoons and older Cartoon Network series throughout the day. It can’t just be Looney

How we can fix TV Land

Image
TV Land is a channel that showcases vintage programming from the 1950’s to the early 2000’s. While the channel has broadcasted mostly live action content, there was at least one year where the channel had the opportunity to re-air vintage animated series from many different companies outside of the Turner Broadcasting network, Boomerang , in the year 1999. However, for the past four years, TV Land had to make some changes to their network in terms of the logo, advertisements, and programming. This lead to many bad experiences. The year 2015 was not the first time that marked these types of changes to TV Land, as the channel began broadcasting their own original content in 2007. TV Land promo (2001)        While the programming on there is good, some of the shows that TV Land broadcasts such as The Goldbergs , Teachers , and Nobodies don’t fit the lineup in any way. These shows are from the 2010’s and are still ongoing to this day. This is not the type of programmin
